Welcome to

Order of the Antelope

Welcome to the Order of the Antelope—brothers in conservation since 1932. What started with a handful of Lakeview men looking up at Hart Mountain and saying, “Let’s fix this,” has grown into generations of Antelopers keeping that promise. Each year, we head back to the mountain for the Annual Trek—part reunion, part work party, all heart. We roll up our sleeves, trade stories, and get the job done: fixing fences, planting trees, and protecting the herd and the land they depend on. It’s our kind of conservation—hands-on, hard-earned, and built on the belief that good work and good company can keep a wild place truly wild.

Who We Are

The Order of the Antelope is a brotherhood born of grit, laughter, and a shared love for the wild heart of Oregon. Since 1932, we’ve gathered on Hart Mountain to put muscle behind our mission—protecting pronghorn, preserving habitat, and passing on the spirit of stewardship. We’re not spectators; we’re doers. Each year, we return to the mountain to work, reconnect, and renew a promise made nearly a century ago: to keep this land—and the fellowship it inspires—strong, wild, and enduring.
