The Order of the Antelope’s 88th Annual Trek is now one for the history books — and what a weekend it was! Held July 18–20 on the rugged slopes of Hart Mountain in Lake County, Oregon, this year’s Trek brought together longtime Antelopers and first-timers alike for three unforgettable days of camaraderie, conservation, and classic OOTA spirit.
As always, the focus was on giving back to the land that started it all. Members joined forces on habitat restoration projects, supported wildlife surveys, and spent their evenings sharing laughs, stories, and maybe a few well-earned refreshments beneath the stars. True to tradition, the event balanced meaningful work with good-natured fun — proving once again that protecting Oregon’s wild places and enjoying them go hand in hand.
Nearly a century after the Order’s founding in 1932, the Trek continues to embody what OOTA is all about: friendship, stewardship, and a deep respect for Hart Mountain’s pronghorn and wild beauty.
If you missed this year’s adventure, don’t worry — the mountain will be calling again soon. Plans are already underway for the 89th Annual Trek, coming Summer 2026. Stay tuned for details.
